Think beyond the gym: Adventure fitness
Try "out-of-the-gym" exercise routines, like rock climbing.

So many people become bored with the gym routine or they use the excuse "I hate the gym" to keep from getting fit. Start thinking outside of the box, and get creative with some new activities.
"The gym is a location, not a method," says Tim Ferriss, author of a best-selling book, The 4-Hour Workweek. "Try 'out-of-gym' exercises, like sprints on the beach or squats at home."
And don't be afraid to try new things. "Go to a rock climbing gym, bike shop or health food store, and just ask people who work there [for ideas]," Ferriss says. "Say, 'I'm just getting started and really need some help. What would you do this weekend for something fun and physical?' It's that simple."
Don't let time be an excuse either. "Schedule activities to end the workday or begin the weekend, and pre-pay whenever possible" to better motivate yourself, Ferriss says.
